Squeezebox

Here you’ll find common questions we receive about RadioTime’s integration with the Logitech Squeezebox. For other help and technical questions, please visit their support page.

Setup RadioTime from the SqueezeNetwork

Why don't some stations play in the Squeezebox?

RadioTime users may notice that some radio available through the website is not available through the Squeezebox. This is generally because the hardware does not support radio streams that require RealPlayer.

There are a few additional limitations with certain Windows Media streams or those stations requiring Flash-based players. These may show as playable but will result in errors like “No items in playlist” or “Could not retrieve playlist” on the device.

Why are some RadioTime presets missing from the Squeezebox?

If you’re connecting to the SqueezeNetwork, you’ll need to ensure you’re correctly configured with your RadioTime username.

If you’re connecting to a local slim server, you’ll need to navigate to the local RadioTime configuration and enter your username. From the SlimDevices panel, select Server Settings, and in the dropdown select Internet Radio. Scroll down to the section where you can enter your radiotime account name. After updating, RadioTime should be available in the interface.

Which Logitech devices are compatible?

RadioTime is available in the Squeezebox Duet, and Transporter products through the Squeeze Network and Slim Server version 6.5 and later.
