What makes RadioTime.com different from other sites?

Most other sites don’t offer:

  • local radio
  • filters radio that works with your computer, location, and the time of day
  • programs (others just list stations) all day, time, and streaming options for programs
  • sports games
  • on demand programs
  • channels with featured content
  • recommendations for similar programs and stations based on your likes
  • detailed information like rating, slogan, titles, logo, description, networks

What does it cost to use the radio guide?

Zip. Nada. Zero bucks. Not a penny. Seriously. Personalizing and listening to radio on RadioTime is completely free.

The only thing that’s fee-based is RedButton software, which lets you pause and record radio. But hey! You can try RedButton free for two weeks. Regardless, you can use all of the radio guide’s features and listen to live radio without RedButton.

If you access the radio guide through a product like the Squeezebox, RadioTime guide is an added feature that comes with your device.

Why should I register to become a member?

Having a free account with RadioTime.com lets you personalize RadioTime’s features, so your preferences are always available from any internet connection or RadioTime compatible device. Personalizing the RadioGuide™ lets you better organize and manage programs and stations rather than delve through thousands of choices.

  • Create presets: Save and share your favorite shows and stations without searching for them on every visit.
  • Adjust your location/time zone: The site has guessed your location and time zone, members can change these assumptions.
  • Control what radio you want. Specify listening options lets you control what radio you want to see or not see in the guide. For example, if you don’t want to use RealPlayer, you can personalize your settings to not show any radio that requires RealPlayer.
  • Receive confirmation and details for all Fix It problems you report (thank you for your help!).
  • Use RadioTime with other products: Your your RadioTime preferences work with computers, devices, and products. So you don’t have to set them up for every product or device.

Sound good? Sign up! You don’t have to register to find and play radio. Registration just makes it easier to save your settings and not have to set them up on every visit. We hope you visit often.

We promise – pinkie swear – that we won’t send spam or junk. Ever. The no hassle registration form only asks for your zip code and e-mail address. The zip code (or city/country) sets your time zone and available local radio. We use your e-mail address to send you important RadioTime announcements.

You can change the details any time, and we promise not to share the information.

Owners of RedButton who register with RadioTime.com can pause live radio or record and listen to radio whenever it’s convenient. We offer a free 14-day trial of the software, if you’d like to give it a shot.

What are the types of radio?

Since you have various options for listening to radio, we thought it would help identify different types of radio.

  • Internet listening: Many stations broadcast both locally (via AM or FM signal) and over the internet. Access these stations across the globe – no matter where you live! To listen, you must have an internet connection and any required internet players installed.
  • Archived radio shows and podcasts: Some shows are archived and available online as a streaming webcast you can replay on demand or as a MP3 file downloaded directly from the show web site. Access archives, if available, from the program details page by browsing the show topics by date or the visit show website link.
  • AM/FM listening: Since not all station broadcasts are available online, you can also receive all local AM or FM signal through your PC with optional AM/FM hardware that allows you to tune your local dial. Stations that broadcast out of your listening area are not available through the hardware. RadioTime offers schedule information for your local stations and access to station and show details which enhance the experience. Try RedButton free for this service.
